The 2016 Sydney Whisky Fair has officially sold out. Thanks for your support and we look forward to hosting an amazing event.
This year we have seen unprecedented interest in the Fair and have broken all previous ticket records.
The first release sold out in under 38 hours, the second release of tickets sold out in just over 24 hours – punctuated by a rush of the final 40 tickets in five minutes when guest tickets went on sale.
There are waiting lists for all three sessions in case positions open up between now and the Fair. The waiting list is for members of the Oak Barrel and you can place your name on the list by email firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, member # and the desired session. There are no guarantees that there will be positions available, but we’re doing everything possible to get as many people in.
Please note – tickets are non-transferable. If you are unable to attend, please get in contact with us.
There will also be a number of masterclasses in the lead-up to the event, the first of which is with West Australian distillery Limeburners who will soon be showcasing a range of their top-end and as-yet-unreleased whiskies.
All upcoming Whisky Fair lead-up events will be posted on the masterclasses page.
Keep checking back to WhiskyFair.com.au to see announcements regarding this year’s Fair – exhibitors, exclusives and more.
Thanks again and we’ll speak to you all soon!
Q: Why aren’t there more sessions to Whisky Fair?
A: We’d love to allow many more people into the Fair each year, but we physically cannot expand the event for a couple of reasons. The Whisky Fair has always made it its mission to source new, rare and exclusive whiskies to showcase and in many cases these are available in very small quantities. Smaller Australian distilleries and overseas exhibitors with rare products simply would not be able to showcase if we required them to provide more bottles. We also want to ensure that the limited space we have for the Fair on site is comfortable for all patrons so you can allow as much time to hear and learn the stories behind the whiskies and spend as little time as possible standing in lines. Subsequently, the capacity has been frozen from last year’s sold out event.
